Outfitted In: A Sort of Safari

Shirt, Bag, Bracelets, Flats: All Thrifted; Jeans, Burlington; Vintage Ray Bans, eBay

This was an outfit for a different sort of Sunday than usual. Instead of hitting up an estate sale and seeing a movie, the hubby and I headed to Williamsburg for Busch Gardens and an antique shop gas station. (Yup, an antique shop in an old gas station!)

Although it was pretty hot out, we had a great time. :) The hubby even commented that my animal print top was quite appropriate for a Busch Gardens trip! The Busch Gardens in Tampa is more safari-like, though. :)

Thrift Find: A Leaf of Glass

Vintage Leaf Plate, Goodwill Outlet (<$1), Goodwill Outlet

This glass vintage leaf-shaped plate caught my eye right away as I was looking through the Goodwill Outlet bins. Although it's probably meant to be used to serve food, I like it to hold pretty pieces of jewelry. :) And I love the different shades of green, my favorite color since childhood.

Thrift Find: Metal Baskety Goodness

Vintage Metal Basket, Goodwill Outlet (~$1)

I was excited to find this neat-looking basket in the Goodwill Outlet bins this Saturday! It's pretty heavy, but because the price of bin items is around 50 cents a pound, this basket was only about a dollar. :)

I've already found a place for it in our living room as a catch-all for sunglasses. It's perfect, because I can just grab a pair when I'm on my way out the door!

Oufitted In: Floral and Fringe

Floral Shirt, Necklace, Vintage Bloomingdale's Bag, Fringe Sandals: All Thrifted; Jeans, Target Clearance

When I got home from a crazy morning/early afternoon of work, I didn't want to put any thought into my thrifting clothes. Naturally, I grabbed my favorite shirt, the nearest jeans, my new necklace and some black accessories.

Surprisingly, I liked how my haphazard outfit turned out! Don't you love when things just come together easily?

Well, I am off to enjoy the rest of my long weekend with the hubby and kitty! Have a good one. :)

Detail Shot Saturday: Groovy Glasses

Well, I had a whole post written about these sunnies, and it was erased somehow! Hmmm. Basically, it went like this: "These sunnies are very 60s and I love them! Thus the vintage tint to the photo, which seemed fitting to the era."

Thrift Finds: Shells and Beads

Vintage Made in Japan Necklace and Shell Decor: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

Here are the last finds from this past Saturday's Goodwill Outlet run. :) You can definitely tell these were hurricane finds because of the foggy photos! (I always take photos right when I get home from thrifting, or else I'll forget to!)

The beaded necklace is super long, which is perfect for doubling it. I couldn't wait to wear it- it was featured in the last outfit post!

The hanging shell decor is also pretty neat. I immediately hung it in our balcony, where it survived the storm without even losing a shell!

I hope you have a great Friday. :) I work tomorrow morning, but then it's a long weekend! I don't know about you, but I really need it!!

Thrift Find: Vintage Trimlite

Vintage Kodak Trimlite Camera, Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

This flat little camera caught my eye in the Goodwill Outlet bins because of the faux-wood finish on the top. :) It's hard to tell in a photo, but in person this camera is very small, flat, and 70s-like. True to its name, it is very trim and light.

I really love the look of these older cameras, but I have a hard time finding any film sources for them. Do any of you have a special place you get hard-to-find film?
