Thrifted Vintage: Glass Triangles

Vintage Glass Jewelry Box: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

This is one of those random Goodwill Outlet finds. It is a strange, glass box that opens and closes on a hinge. I'm not sure what the original intent of this unusual piece was, but I like it. :)

I'm thinking...a place for my little shell collection I gathered in Florida? It would look especially pretty in the window, with the tiny pieces of home inside. :)

Outfitted In: A Party of Pastels

Shirt, Vest, Shoes, Necklace: All Thrifted; Jeans: Burlington; Bag: Rugged Wearhouse

I'm really into pastels this summer, especially the fun coral color of this bag! The mint green of the sweater is a current favorite, too. :)

On another note, I finally got an iPhone, after wanting one for ages! I'm super excited to start taking more pictures on the go, and to finally sport one of the awesome cat covers. :)

Well, that's about it for now. I'm just counting down to Saturday afternoon, when I can start my weekend!

Thrift Finds: Summer Accessories!

Straw Visor, Spool Necklace: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

One of the fun things about summer, to me, is the bright colors and fun textures it brings! I mean, when else in the year could you pull off a straw visor and not look like a crazy person?  I'm planning on sporting this summery visor on all our outdoor adventures these next couple months!

And what is more fun that a necklace with pink beads and spools of thread? This neat necklace looks like someone's DIY project! It's like a...DISE..."Do It Someone Else". :)

I hope your week is going fabulously!

Amanda

Thrifted Vintage: Son of a Son of a Sailor

Vintage Records: Goodwill Outlet ($0.50 each)

While I'm not the biggest Jimmy Buffett fan ever (my cousin Mike is, actually!) I really like these old school records. While there are familiar songs on them, I quite like the unfamiliar ones. :)

When I was in line at Goodwill Outlet, the man in front of me freaked out upon seeing the records I had in my hand. He excitedly told me that Jimmy Buffett hadn't played some of the songs on these records for decades. I feel like those are the ones I like best, that I hadn't heard before. :)

Also, I found a Disney record with songs from some of the popular old movies. It brings me back to my childhood, watching VHS Disney tapes with my little brother.

I'm super glad that my 19-year-old self had the foresight to purchase a record player!

Outfitted In: Denim + Hearts

Shirt, Denim Vest, Bag, Bracelets, Sunnies: All Thrifted; Jeans: Burlington; Shoes: Target; Pin: DIY

I was super excited for a Goodwill Outlet afternoon yesterday, and it didn't disappoint! I found some neat vintage goodies, including old-school Jimmy Buffet records. :)

Speaking of vintage, this 70s bag is my new favorite thrifting purse! It reminds me of an old camera bag, and it's the perfect size for all the thrifting essentials (wallet, keys, hand sanitizer...).

Also loving these cat-eye sunnies I thrifted in Brandon! They are nicely oversized and of great quality for a couple bucks. :)

I'm off to enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Detail Shot Saturday: Mouse Shoes

Mouse Flats: Five Below ($5)

I cannot resist animal things. Seriously, give me any accessory, clothing item, or piece of jewelry with eyes and ears, and I will love it!

Of course, when I saw these jelly flats at Five Below the other weekend, I had to get them! They're perfect for rainy days. :)

Well, I am off to work, and then it is thrift time, my friends!

Thrift Finds: Costume Jewelry and Eyeballs

Bangle ($0.50), Eyeball Necklace ($1): Love of Jesus

On my never-ending search for non-metal jewelry, I run into some interesting things. Some finds are downright strange, and this eyeball necklace is one of them.

It is a marble with yellow beading around the back and a circle of red beading...and then, a bloodshot eye. Heck, I think it's cool!

On the tamer side, the yellow bangle is still pretty unique. It is fairly large and bright, with a fun latticework pattern. :)

I wonder what people would say if I just threw on all my strange costume jewelry at once? They'd probably think I was one weird woman! And, I guess, that wouldn't be too far from the truth. :)

Always,
Amanda
