This week was filled with: hanging with my hubby, thrifting an awesome dollhouse, cleaning and re-decorating, fortune reading, unexpected snow, Mountain Dew...Code Red, and a thrifted DIY. :)

Outfitted In: Maroon + Black

This was Sunday's outfit, for a day of dollhouse furniture shopping and a family friend's memorial service. (Hence the darker-than-usual outfit, and sad facial expression.)

The memorial service was for our friend's dad, who passed away at just 55. It really made me miss my family and want to be close to them. It was a beautiful service, though, and it was good to see our friend and be there for him.

On a lighter note, I haven't had much luck at the thrifts/antique shops finding dollhouse furniture, but Dollar Tree is a goldmine. I have lots of $1 furniture in my dollhouse now, and I plan to paint it and make it look cool.

Retail/Thrifted: Nate Berkus for Target :)

Nate Berkus Link Decor: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

I've been eying the Nate Berkus for Target things every time I'm in the store. But most everything is more than I want to pay for decorative things. So when I spotted this green link decor in the Goodwill bin, I snatched it up! I think it may be missing a link or two, but for less than a buck- so worth it!!

Retail: $13.50 on eBay (sold out at Target.com)

Thrifted: <$1 at Goodwill Outlet

Amount Saved: ~$12.50!

Sweet deal- and it looks great in our re-decorated bathroom/closet/laundry room!

Thrift Finds: An Awesome Wooden Dollhouse!

Dollhouse: Family Thrift ($15)

So, I've had a dollhouse on my thrift list for a while. The only ones I've found have been vintage tin ones, which are awesome but wayyyy out of my price range. (We're talking $100+) So when I saw this sweet wooden one for $15, I had to get it!

I have started decorating it with furniture from the Dollar Tree (They totally have wooden doll furniture!) and tiny things I have in the apartment. :) I love that I can 'decorate' a whole house, and change the decor and everything, while still living in our little apartment.

Outfitted In: Hearts, Red and Black

Shirt, Cardigan, Bag, Jeans: All Thrifted

Yesterday was mostly rainy and overcast, which made for a horribly blurry outfit picture. Luckily, I did take this detail shot that shows my newly thrifted shirt a little better! It says 'I thank you from the bottom of my heart'. :) It's my new favorite!

Despite the weather, I got so much done yesterday! I cleaned and re-organized our bathroom/closet/laundry room, hung curtains in our bedroom, and cleaned the apartment. I'm definitely on a spring cleaning kick!

Also, I scored something awesome at Family Thrift yesterday. :) I can't wait to show you guys!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I am so, so glad it is the weekend! I am hitting the thrifts this morning, and then I'll be doing some cleaning and re-decorating our apartment. :)

I've definitely had the spring cleaning bug lately. Some fun new decor is taking shape in our apartment, too! Once I'm done, I'll share some pictures. :)

I forgot Insta-Thursday! Whoops! Well, here it is, a day late. :) This past week was full of: kitty stuff, sunglasses, treats, favorite magazines, excellent thrift spotting, and a new addition to our nerdy wall in our apartment. Bazinga!
