Vintage Jewelry Box: Good Samaritan

Last year, I thrifted this awesome vintage jewelry box, that is just like the one I inherited from my great Grandma Jake! It is so neat to find a piece of history on the thrift store shelf for less than a couple bucks. :)

This special jewelry box sits on my nightstand, filled with little treasures. I'm so glad I found it last year!

Two Years Ago, I Thrifted...

Ceramic Pig Container: Thrifted

During this week in 2011, we headed off to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe with my parents on vacation. :) It was awesome! The weekend we got back to Richmond, I thrifted this little pig.

Pigs remind me of my Grandma C, who always got me little pig figurines growing up. Each of the grandkids had an animal that she searched for, and pigs were my animal. (Maybe because of Babe the pig? I'm not really sure how it started...)

Three Years Ago, I Thrifted...

Insulator: Estate Sale

Hey everyone! As you read this, I'm headed off to Ireland with my parents and hubby. :) I am super, super excited!!

I have some fun posts scheduled for while I'm gone, including some of the things I've thrifted this week in May during the past couple years. :)

On the 13th, there will be an awesome guest post by my Grammy about her history with thrifting! It's pretty awesome to have your Grammy write a blog post for you. :) She's a great writer, and it's a cool post, so be sure to check it out! Love you, Grammy!!

So...back to this post. During this week in 2010, Josh and I headed to one of our first estate sales, where we scored this awesome blue insulator! This pretty item lives in our kitchen window, and it looks so pretty when the light shines through. :)

Last December, I Thrifted...

Mustache Mug: Goodwill

I love going through pictures from the past couple years and remembering my favorite finds! Last December, my favorite find was this awesome mustache mug. :)

Josh and I are huge fans of hot tea in the cool months, so we have a fun assortment of mugs we've thrifted. But, I think, this is my favorite! I don't know what it is about a classic mustache, but I just love it. :) This old shaving mug was given a new life in our home.

Last August, I Thrifted...

Vintage Lipstick Mirror, Thrifted August 2010

...A vintage lipstick mirror! Although at the time I didn't know what it was, and a couple lovely readers informed me of its purpose. :)

You just clip your lipstick to the circular part and then use the mirror to see what you're doing. Perfectly genius!
