The House Book: Goodwill Outlet ($0.50)

I was pretty stoked to find a copy of The House Book in the Goodwill bins this past weekend! It has some cheesy 70s/80s photos, but some of the vintage style is spot-on. :)

I've been dreaming about our future house a lot lately, and I think I want to decorate it in a mid-century modern style. I love the way that style of furniture looks, and it will be fun to thrift it!

1963 Modern Roses Magazine: Love of Jesus ($0.25)

I love colorful vintage books and magazines, and this one is no exception. :) What's better than pages and pages of pretty roses in red, pink, yellow, and lavender?

My favorite page of the magazine is the back cover, filled with 'tree roses'! I'm no gardener, but I'd love a couple of pink ones. :)

Pages From a Vintage Book: The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Fashion

Here's the start of a new series of posts for the blog: Pages From a Vintage Book. I have so many neat old books, and most of them have great pictures and illustrations that I really should share with you guys! (Thanks for the nudge, Chrissy!)

Although I haven't had the time to read through the Pictorial Encyclopedia of Fashion yet, I have looked through the pictures. :) Those shown above are some of my favorites! I especially love the flapper in the last photo- what an awesome bow top!
