Camping in the Rain :)

Here are a couple photos I took on my camera while we were camping this weekend. :) It was pretty, but it was so, so wet!

I did enjoy seeing the lake and the half-turned leaves, and I was glad for extra tarps when our tent started leaking. :)

Tomorrow, I'll have some photos of our garage sale, and then it'll be back to camping stuff for the week! Don't worry, thrift-lovers, I'll be back to normal posts next week. :)

Amanda

Campers!

We got back from camping yesterday afternoon. It was super fun, despite the never-ending rain! We had s'mores, hung out by the campfire, went on a pontoon boat, ate good food, celebrated my father-in-law's birthday, and sported bandannas like nobody's business!

I'll have some more camping photos this week, as well as some Instagram photos from our garage sale! It rained throughout the whole sale, too, but we sold a lot! We are going to have another sale on Sunday- hopefully it doesn't rain, and we can get rid of the rest of the stuff we need to sell. :)

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Outfitted In: Stripes and Sandals :)

Shirt, Pants, Bag: All Thrifted; Saltwater Sandals: Amazon

This was Sunday's outfit, for a day of baby-cuddling, HGTV-watching, and yummy food-eating. :) It was a pretty chill trip, and Sunday was a relaxed kind of day.

This outfit was church-ready in case my baby cousin felt up to it, but he had a sore throat and runny nose. Poor little guy! Luckily, these black pants are super-comfy, so it was also the perfect outfit to hang out in.

Happy Friday!!!

Amanda

Thrifted Vintage: Texas Edition :)

Necklace & Bracelet: Salvation Army; Mesh Wallet: Goodwill

Most of my trip to Texas was spent putting in some awesome quality time with my aunt and uncle and cuddling with my baby cousin. :) We did a lot of chilling, eating great food, and watching HGTV (something I've missed a lot since ditching cable!).

But on my last day, before heading to the airport, my uncle and I got some thrifting in! We checked out two Goodwills and a Salvation Army, and I found some great things!

Above are my vintage finds- an awesome plastic necklace and glass bracelet from Salvation Army, and a mesh wallet from Goodwill. :)

The funny thing about the mesh wallet? I actually thrifted one years ago and sold it when I had my etsy shop! I always wanted to find another one, and there it was- in a Goodwill in Houston!

I'm Back!

Above is an Instagram I took on my last flight home last night. I had such a great time in Texas, and I miss my aunt, uncle, and baby cousin SO much already! I have some thrift find photos, an outfit photo, and more Instagrams to share from my trip, so expect those the rest of the week!

And, I'm off!

I got an exciting new camera this past week! It was on super-clearance at Target, but it's really awesome! One of the features it has is color-detection, where it automatically chooses all the reds, blues, or yellows in a photo and makes everything else black and white. :) I'm excited to have some great photos on the blog very soon! (I promise I won't over-use the cool features!)

Well, I'm off to Texas bright and early this morning to visit my aunt and uncle and meet my new baby cousin! The blog will be quiet for a couple days while I'm out of town, but be sure to follow my Texas adventures on Instagram @AisAlreadyLoved :)

I'll be back on Monday night, so I'll see y'all next week! Have a great weekend!

Outfitted In: Vacation Wear :)

I was able to fit all of my clothes into one carry-on suitcase for our week-long trip! I was pretty proud of myself for that! :) The key is to pick a color palette to stick to. Mine was mostly: red, blue, green, tan, black. I just mixed and matched the tops and bottoms and my two jackets and poncho. :) Even the hoodie I got in Ireland was red, and it fit right in! (It's on my arm in the last photo.)

Real Castles :)

Bunratty Castle

Blarney Castle

Ross Castle

So, we're home from our trip! It was super great, and it went by way too fast! As promised, here are pictures we took of the castles we saw in Ireland. :) They were in various stages of dilapidation, but they were very neat to see.

I have so many photos from our trip, but this week I'll be sharing: my outfits, my thrift finds and my Instagram shots. :) So it'll be Ireland-city here this week!

Pretend Castles :)

Harry Potter World in Orlando

This week last year, I was with my parents and hubby at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida, looking at fake (but awesome!) Harry Potter castles.

This year, we're in Ireland with some real castles!!

I'll definitely have some Ireland pictures to share when I get back- of real castles!

Outfitted In: Southwestern Beach Wear

Jeans, Sunnies, Necklace: All Thrifted; Shirt, Bag, Sandals: Rugged Wearhouse

We're home! While it is good to be back in our own bed, Josh and I definitely miss Florida. We had great weather, with only one rainy day. :)

I have so many photos to sort through and post, but this was my favorite outfit of the trip. I'm loving this southwestern-style shirt I found at Rugged Wearhouse for less than ten bucks! And who can beat the background on this shot? Oh, to have a beach for outfit pictures all the time...

Well, we have a lot of unpacking, cleaning, and resting to do today! I just wanted to pop in and say hi. :) I missed you guys!

Amanda

Our Texas Trip: Vacation Wear

Saturday's Outfit: Striped shirt: Target; Bag: F21; Jacket: Burlington; Jeans: Thrifted; Flats: Kohl's

Sunday's Outfit: Zebra shirt: Thrifted; Jacket, pants: Burlington; Pin: DIY; Bag: F21; Shoes: TJMaxx

Monday's Outfit: Ruffle shirt, pink bag, vintage wayfarers, heart hair clip: Thrifted; Jeans: Burlington; Necklace: JCrew Outlet; Shoes: Kohl's

Tuesday's Outfit: Snake print shirt, pink bag, loafers: Thrifted; Jeans: Burlington

I managed to pack efficiently this trip, with only carry-ons for four days of fun. :) What I've learned over years of travel is that you should pack clothes that can be easily mixed and matched. When everything can go with everything else, it is easy to grab an outfit and go!

Happy weekend!

Amanda

Thrift Finds: San Francisco

Finally, I remembered to photograph a couple of my San Francisco thrift finds. It's about time, right? And I thought I might as well interject a little bit of a review of the thrifts we visited there as well. (Clicking on the thrift shop names will lead to reviews and addresses, if you're interested!) Okay, here we go:

Kitty Purse, Thrift Town ($2.75)

I was most pleased with Thrift Town out of the SF thrifts. I got this little kitty purse and the vintage Hawaiian purse that was in one of my vacation outfit posts. For less than three bucks each, I thought they were reasonably priced. The store was two stories and had a lot of items, but the two bags were all that I found.

The very best prices that I encountered out of the San Francisco thrifts were definitely at Community Thrift. The hubby found a veritable gold mine of men's vintage shirts for cheap, and I scored two Chinese fans. The more ornate one went to my sis-in-law, but I kept the all-green one:
Chinese Fan, Community Thrift ($0.75)
While Community Thrift seemed to have pretty great prices and some cool things, there just wasn't much that I liked there. The only other thing I thrifted in the city was a San Francisco shirt from the local Goodwill. We didn't find anything at Mission Thrift, which seemed more like a vintage shop than a thrift shop. It was too pricey for my wallet!

Well, I think this post officially ends my vacation-centered ones, although I could certainly go on for weeks talking about all the things we did! I hope you're having a great day off (if you have today off), and thank you again to all of the servicemen and servicewomen for all you've done for our country.

Always,
Amanda

San Francisco on My Mind

I realized that I didn't get any pictures of the San Francisco thrift shops, and I still haven't taken any pictures of the few finds I had there. I thought instead I'd share some of my favorite photos from our trip through the city. :) I hope you enjoy!

Me and the hubby in front of the cable car!
The harbor seals at Pier 39!
The view from the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge!
The hubby in solitary confinement at Alcatraz!
Me, Hubby, Mom, Dad, and the Golden Gate Bridge!
There are about 300 more pictures of San Francisco, but I just had to share these few. :) We had such a great time, and it was so nice to hang out with some of my favorite people in the world. It was definitely a vacation I'll never forget!

Always,
Amanda
