Detail Shot Saturday: A Big-Eared Bunny

Bunny Pin: Good Samaritan ($0.50)

This little handmade bunny pin is the picture of cuteness! I just adore the big ears and simple style of this little guy. :)

I am off to Goodwill Outlet this morning, and then I'm going to stay inside the rest of the day! It is supposed to be over 100 degrees here in Richmond, and that is just not outside weather. :)

Estate Sale Treasure: Vintage Brownie Camera!

Vintage Bakelite Brownie Camera: Estate Sale ($5)

At the epic estate warehouse sale we went to this past Sunday, we found a couple really neat things. A vintage bakelite Brownie camera has been on my thrift list for years, so when I spotted this one I was super excited!

While we see vintage Brownie cameras all the time in the antique stores we visit, they're always around $30. But I knew I could do better if was patient, and bam! A really nice one was waiting for me for just five bucks! And it's Bakelite. :)

I think this is the cutest camera I have, and one of the coolest, too.

I hope you have a happy Friday! TGIF, am I right?

Insta-Thursday #2

Happy Insta-Thursday! This week was filled with fun thrift trips, sparkles, ice cream, 90s goodies, kitties, vintage, a silly husband, and records. :)

I'd say it was a pretty good week! Now, if we could find a way to just thrift/antique/estate sale/hang with the kitty all the time, we'd be set. :)

Outfitted In: Coral and Cream

Shirt, Vest, Bag, Pin, Sunnies: All Thrifted; Jeans: Burlington; Sandals: Target

This was Sunday's estate sale/antiquing outfit. :) We had a great time going through vintage goodies and finding a few treasures!

This vest is a recent thrift find, and I love it! It reminds me of a fishing net... like a very 70s fishing net. :)

And $4 thrifted Fossil purses? Just about as good as it gets, folks!

On the Shelves: Estate Sale Edition

We went to a warehouse sale held by an estate sale company this past Sunday. And boy, did they have funky stuff! I mean that in the very best way. :)

I came home with a 90s in-the-box Polly Pocket, some Ninja Turtles Pez, a tobacco pipe, and a bakelite Brownie camera! Shown above are the items that I thought were funny, but didn't bring home. I mean, how creepy are those dolls? And I smiled at the Eureeka's Castle figure- anyone else watch that show back in the day?

Hope you're having a great week!

Thrifted Vintage: Remember Me Mug

Vintage Mustache Mug: Good Samaritan ($0.50)

I've always enjoyed looking at these old mustache-saver mugs at the antique stores we visit, but they're always way too expensive.

Enter one of my favorite thrift stores, Good Samaritan. Bam! A Remember Me mustache mug for a mere 50 cents! Know that's my kind of price. :)

And the funny thing is that my hubby has facial hair, so this little guy will actually come in handy. No more 'I was saving it for later' jokes for him. ;)

Outfitted In: Pink Jeans + Cream

Shirt, Vest, Bag, Mocs, Necklace, Bracelet: All Thrifted; Jeans, Sunnies: F21

Well, I finally found fun-colored jeans! Problem is, I'm not so sure about them... It's like wearing a sign that says "Look at me!! I've got pink jeans on!!!"

But hey, I got through the day without anyone looking at me funny, so I'd call that a win! :)

I'm off to enjoy more of my weekend. I hope yours is fabulous, too!

Detail Shot Saturday: Beads Like Candy

Green Leather Purse: Thrifted; Bracelet: Target

I love this little group of kids necklaces doubled over into a bracelet! The colors are so fun, and the shape of the beads reminds me of candy. :)

Something about bright, fun colors just screams summer to me. And although summertime means heat and humidity and long days, it also means more time with my hubby and fun adventures!

I'm off to work (an adventure in itself), and then it's the weekend!!!!!

Retail/Thrifted: A Golden Game

The Legend of Zelda game for NES: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

When I saw this in the Goodwill bins last weekend, I knew I had to get it for my hubby! He loves his original NES, and though he has lots of games, he didn't have this one. :) (It's usually so much more expensive than the other NES games!)

Anyway, I knew it was something special and that it was worth more than the pocket change I paid for it. :)

Retail: $19.99 at DK Oldies

Thrifted: <$1 at Goodwill Outlet!!!!

I love, love, love thrifting awesome things for the people I care about. It is hands down the best thing about thrifting for me. :)

Insta-Thursday #1

Today I'm introducing a new weekly feature: Insta-Thursday! I'll be posting my favorite Instagram photos that I've taken the previous week, as a week recap. :) I think it'll be fun to go back and look at some of the neat things I've seen, eaten, and thrifted, and I hope you'll like it too!

For more daily photos, you can follow me on Instagram at: aisalreadyloved. :)

Outfitted In: Zebra + Lime

Shirt, Jeans, Bag, Pin: All Thrifted; Shoes: Burlington; Sunnies: Rugged Wearhouse

This outfit from Sunday is chock-full of new (and new-to-me) items! The jeans are a super-comfy thrift find, the bag is the $2 one I posted about with Saturday's outfit, and the sunnies and shoes are two inexpensive new goodies!

When in outfit doubt, wear neutrals with one bright pop of color- it never fails!

Thrift Find: Leather Wallet-y Goodness!

Leather Wallet: Goodwill Outlet ($1)

Every once in awhile, I feel the need for a new wallet (don't most of us?), and I always hit the thrifts for mine. Where else could you find a brand new leather wallet for one dollar? I mean...that's less than a drink at most fast food places!

This one is particularly nice, with fun stitching and purple leather. :) And it's even small enough to fit in my new little green purse.

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Thrift Finds: Cats, Cats, Cats!

Kitty Pins: $1 or $2 each: Love of Jesus

It's no surprise that, with my love for my kitty Moxie, I find myself drawn to cat things. And at the thrifts, it's like a cat party!

These little guys were all in the case at Love of Jesus, and most were just a buck! I especially like the gold kitty and the black kitty with rhinestones. :)

It was funny- when the guy was ringing me up, he asked why I got these and left a couple other cat pins. When I told him these were the cutest ones, he just shook his head...

I hope you have a good Monday! Anyone else find cat things at the thrifts this weekend?

Outfitted In: South + West

Necklace, Shoes, Bag: All Thrifted; Shirt: TJMaxx; Jeans: Burlington; Sunnies: Rugged Wearhouse; Bracelets: Target

I think this shirt is quickly becoming a new favorite! I love the uneven hem and southwest print, and it goes so well with my thunderbird Minnetonkas. :)

Newly thrifted from this outfit: the lime green leather bag. I found it at Family Thrift for a mere two bucks! I had spotted them in multiple colors at TJMaxx a couple years ago for around $50, but I couldn't justify spending that much on such a tiny bag. Two years and two bucks later, this little guy is mine!

I hope you're having a great weekend! And Happy Father's Day to the best dad and dad-in-law ever!!!!

Detail Shot Saturday: Down by the Sea

Bracelets: Thrifted; Shark Tooth Necklace: Beach Store

I was rocking the beach-themed accessories last weekend! I think I must be missing home a little bit. Shark teeth and shells will always remind me of Florida.

Well, I am off to the thrifts! I'm super excited to see what I'll find. :)

Thrift Find: Teeny Typewriter

Kid-size Typewriter: Goodwill Outlet (~$1)

This little typewriter was just sitting in the Goodwill bins all askew, and I figured that it must not work. I'm not one to leave a typewriter behind without checking to see if it's functional, though, so I loaded it with a scrap piece of paper. I started typing, works!

It is super lightweight and small, perfect for bringing with me when I feel the need to type outside, know...not lug a 20 pound object around.

I still love my vintage typewriters very much. :) They are just 'inside typewriters'... You know, like an inside pet...

I think I'm going to stop rambling now! Off to work- TGIF!!!!

Thrifted Vintage: Pin Party

Flower Pins: Good Samaritan ($0.50 each); Eye Pin: 60 West Antiques ($9)

I had good luck last weekend finding vintage pins. :) I always seem to find them in bunches and then go months without much luck.

These pins definitely make up for the fruitless times, though! I just love old enameled flower pins- and the painted one is from West Germany!

While the crazy eye pin was found at the antique store (and was therefore a little pricey), I really love it. :) I saw it the week before and couldn't stop thinking about it, so I went back and it was half off the original price!

I hope you guys are having a great week!

Outfitted In: Brights and Blue

Shirt, Bag, Bracelets: All Thrifted; Jeans: Burlington; Sandals: Target; Sunnies: Five Below

This was the perfect outfit for a pretty great Sunday. :) Josh and I went to this crazy estate sale out in the country, where I found a handmade quilt and he scored some vintage tobacco pipes. We went the long way home, through some little towns, and discovered a new-to-us antique shop!

It was definitely a fun adventure. :) I enjoy any day that I can hang out with my hubby, riding along through the summer sun.

Oh, and neon sunnies= my new favorite thing, ever.

Estate Sale Treasure: 1960s Toy Cars!

1960s Toy Cars: Estate Sale ($0.50 for all)

I was drawn to the mix of colors of these toy cars, which were in a bag at Sunday's estate sale for fifty cents! I love that the type of car is on each trunk- I think my favorite is the shapely little Fiat!

Upon further research into my little cars, I found that they were popular cereal box favors back in the 1960s. A little boy probably carefully built up this collection and there they sat in the estate sale house for 50 years. It's crazy to think that someday the items we buy now will be considered vintage. Will the estate salers of the future collect old nail polish bottles?

Anyway, it's safe to say I really like my new little car collection. :)

Thrifted Vintage: Godzilla!!!

1985 Imperial Godzilla Figurine: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

I am (probably overly) in love with this 80s Godzilla. :) I just think he is so cool! I've been having fun on Instagram, taking random Godzilla photos. :)

When I found him in the bottom of a Goodwill Outlet bin on Saturday, I couldn't believe he'd been looked over by so many people! Sometimes, you just have to dig a little further to find the really cool things. :)

Outfitted In: Stripes + Coral

Shirt, Shoes, Bag, Sunnies: All Thrifted; Jeans: Burlington; Top: Rugged Wearhosue; Bracelets: From Childhood; Necklace: Beach Shop

This was my outfit for an afternoon of thrifting and an evening with the in-laws. :) It was hot yesterday, but I was cool enough in my breezy clothes and beachy accessories!

I'm loving bracelets right now (obvious from the past couple of posts!), and the ones I wore yesterday were from a childhood jewelry box. :) It is lovely to rediscover things.

It seems like I can't resist wearing at least a pop of bright color this season- so I had to throw on these newly thrifted coral sunnies! What can I say? Fun colors make me happy, and I'm needing the extra dose of happiness lately. :)

Detail Shot Saturday: Hot Pink Bracelet!

Bracelet: Five Below ($1)

I am crushing on hot pink and bracelets right now, so this is perfect!!!! I need a job where I can wear a bunch of fun bracelets every day. :)

Speaking of which, I'm off to work this morning, and then I'll be thrifting with my hubby!

Thrift Finds: Bakelite and Bracelets

Bakelite Bracelet: Family Thrift; Friendship Bracelets: Five Below

Okay, so just the bakelite bracelet is a thrift find, but the others were a dollar each at Five Below, so I think they count!

I'm always on the lookout for bakelite bangles, and for all my searching, I've only found three in my price range. Usually, they are in locked display cases at antique stores for $40 each! This one was a lucky Family Thrift find that had been marked down twice. :)

Colorful bracelets brighten my day, for sure. I can't wait to sport them this weekend!

Thrifted Vintage: Glass Triangles

Vintage Glass Jewelry Box: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

This is one of those random Goodwill Outlet finds. It is a strange, glass box that opens and closes on a hinge. I'm not sure what the original intent of this unusual piece was, but I like it. :)

I'm thinking...a place for my little shell collection I gathered in Florida? It would look especially pretty in the window, with the tiny pieces of home inside. :)
