Thrift Finds: Sperrys!

Sperry TopSiders: Goodwill Outlet ($3)

I love Sperry TopSiders! They are so comfy- the perfect summer/fall shoe. :) And these have little touches of girly yellow!

What's better than getting quality shoes for less than five bucks? Not much, I tell you!

I hope you're having a great week so far!

Thrifted Vintage: Mushrooms and Florida

Mushroom Canister, Florida Mug: Goodwill Outlet (~$1)

I gravitate toward anything vintage, Florida-themed, or mushroom-adorned, so these two things were right up my alley! We have found the perfect place for the mushroom canister in our kitchen, holding our scrubbers and such. :) And the Florida mug is getting a thorough washing!

I just love vintage things. They just seem to be neater- and usually of better quality- than new items. And they're budget-friendly, too!

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope yours (and mine too) is bearable. :)

Outfitted In: A Lion and Maps

Shirt, Cardigan, Jeans, Sandals, Sunglasses, Map Bag, Lion Pin: All Thrifted

We had a fun day yesterday, filled with thrifting and used bookstore hunting and pizza! It's always really nice to spend a whole day with my hubby. :) He's pretty much the best.

Josh even thrifted a humidor yesterday for his cigars! He was super excited, especially since he hadn't had the best luck earlier in the day. I found some awesome Sperry TopSiders, red-colored records, non-metal necklaces, and three Baby-sitters Club books!

Well, we're off to enjoy another fun-filled weekend day!!!

Detail Shot Saturday: Business in the front, studs in the back!

Jeans, Flats: Thrifted

This is me trying to take a photo of the back of my shoes...awkward! But these flats are so neat, and you can't see the studded backs in regular outfit shots. :)

I like to think of them as my 'mullet shoes'. You know- business in the front, party in the back? I think that saying applies 100% more to my awesome flats than it does to mullets!

Have a great weekend!!

Insta-Thursday #6

This past week was filled with BSC book reading, estate sale shopping in a cute house, wearing vintage fish pendants, watching (and loving!) Moonrise Kingdom, visiting many a used book store, and seeing cat-shaped tables!

I'd say that was a pretty full week. :) Although, I guess I've been slacking on the Moxie kitty pictures!

On the Thrift Store Shelves: Goodwill Bin Edition #2

Above are some of the things I left behind in the Goodwill bins last Saturday. Well, except for the Ghostbusters plates ans invites- Josh got those!

There were weird bead-covered eggs, tons of old cameras, a Versace gift bag, a jewelry case, and so many other random things! Looking through the bins and taking photos of the quirky things inside is my new favorite thing. :)

What have you seen at the thrift stores lately?

Outfitted In: Snakeskin Print

Shirt, Jeans, Bag, Flats, Necklace: All Thrifted

I recently re-discovered this snakeskin print top, and I forgot how much I love it! I see 'snakeskin print' and think...hmmm, this might be very tacky.  But I think the fit and the material (soft cotton) make this veer more into the normal-looking territory!

Also, this is another 100% thrifted outfit! The whole outfit cost less than $20 total. :)

Happy Wednesday!

Thrift Find: A Little Map Purse!

Map Bag: Goodwill ($2)

I've been drawn to map prints lately, so when I spotted this cute little purse at my local Goodwill, I was super excited!

It's a pretty tiny little bag, but it will be perfect for thrifting! All you really need for a good thrift trip is your hand sanitizer, wallet, cell phone, and thrift list. :) (Mine is currently my BSC book list, 'cause I'm starting to have a hard time remembering which ones I have!)

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Estate Sale Treasure: A Real Butterfly

Preserved Butterfly: Estate Sale ($1)

When I saw this cool-looking butterfly at the estate sale Josh and I went to yesterday, I knew I had to get it! It is so neat to be able to look at it from all different angles. :)

My only wish is that it wasn't so...brown. Can you imagine how cool it would look if it was colorful, too?!

Speaking of the estate sale, we found some pretty neat things! It was in this adorable house, with a strange layout filled with nooks and crannies and secret spots. :) Sometimes my favorite part of estate sale shopping is looking around the cool houses!

I hope you have a great week!

Outfitted In: Green + Yellow

Shirt, Vest, Bag, Necklace: Thrifted; Jeans, Sandals: Rugged Wearhouse

Yesterday afternoon after work, the hubby and I went on a thrifting adventure! We not only found a lot of new Baby-sitter's Club books, but he found some cool guy things, too. :)

I'm continuing on my quest to read all of the BSC books in a row, which has been a lot of fun! I'm on #5, after finally finding a copy at a used bookstore. :)

We're off to have a fun, relaxing Sunday!

Detail Shot Saturday: Vintage Sunglasses of Awesome

Vintage Sunnies: Good Samaritan ($1)

I recently re-discovered these vintage sunglasses- a sweet find from Good Samaritan a couple years ago. :) They are of such good quality compared to my newer sunglasses, and they have glass lenses!

Well folks, I am off to work this morning...then it is officially thrift time!! I am hoping (fingers crossed!) that I can find the fifth Baby-sitters Club book. :)

Insta-Thursday #5

I totally forgot to post this earlier today, but I figured- it's still Thursday! This past week has been filled with lots of BSC books, estate sales, Goodwill, vintage, photo booths, and yes: Newlyweds. (What can I say, I thrifted it for a buck, and it's highly entertaining!)

I hope you're having a great week! I can't wait for Saturday afternoon, when it'll be the weekend!!!

A Guy Find :)

Vintage Japan Pipe Planter: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

Vintage pipe planters are usually priced pretty high at antique shops because of their cool factor. But this little guy was mere pocket change, found in the Goodwill bins!

Josh has a couple of these that he likes to keep on our balcony, with things like matches in them. When something is cool-looking and functional, I'm all for it. :)

Retail/Thrifted: Vintage Dooney

Vintage Dooney & Bourke Bag ($3)

I was super excited to spot this authentic vintage Dooney & Bourke bag at Goodwill the other day. :) It's in really great shape, and it's black and brown- a versatile color combo. What a great year-around bag!

When I searched for the bag on etsy, I saw what a great deal I got!

Retail: $62.00 on etsy

Thrifted: $3 at Goodwill

I saved: $59!

Thrifted Vintage: Leather Dance Shoes

Vintage Dance Shoes: Love of Jesus ($3)

I love these super-soft leather dance shoes I found at Love of Jesus this past weekend! They only have a small heel, and they are so comfy. :)

Although I do like ballroom dancing, these are so great that I want to wear them all the time! Is that weird? I mean, I think it would be weirder if they were tap shoes...

PS: I have started thrifting/reading all of the Baby-sitter's Club books! If you want to follow that adventure, you can! I'm blogging about it at The BSC and Me- my new blog. :) Don't worry, though, there is no end in sight for Already Loved!

Thrift Find: Map Print Duffel!

Map-print duffel bag: Goodwill Outlet ($2)

I was super excited to find this neat, map-print duffel bag in the Goodwill Outlet bins this past weekend! As far as prints go, a map print is pretty high up on the awesome list. :)

Plus, it's the perfect size to use for a quick getaway or an overnight trip! What says 'worldly traveler' like a map?

Well folks, it's Monday. Back to the grind, as they say. But each day is another closer to next weekend- with more thrifting, relaxing, movie-watching, and hanging out. :)

Outfitted In: Teal + Blue

Shirt, Bag, Sunnies, Necklace: All Thrifted; Jeans, Shoes: Target

I have definitely had a 'summer uniform' these past couple months. This blue shirt is certainly one of the most-worn items in my closet. :)

There is admittedly a lot of blue in this outfit, but let's just call it trendy 'color-blocking' of the blue and teal. (I totally wasn't thinking about that when getting dressed, but hey...being accidentally trendy is cool.)

As for yesterday's thrifting...I found a couple really cool things! Goodwill Outlet had the most awesome map-print duffel bag! And Love of Jesus had perfectly fitting leather dance shoes! And here's another sentence ending with an exclamation point, you know, for good measure!

Well, I am off to enjoy a relaxing Sunday with my husband. :) I believe I've mentioned before how much Sundays are my favorite!

Detail Shot Saturday: Vintage + Bright

Vintage Sunnies: Salvation Army; Bracelet: Goodwill

I had totally forgotten about these neat 80s sunglasses until we did a clean sleep of our apartment. :) I found them in a drawer, forgotten for years, and I love them!

Also: I love bracelets. And braids. So braided bracelet=happy Amanda. :) Plus, this type of bracelet reminds me of one of my dearest friends Melissa. She's a total surfer girl/ guitar chick who is all-around awesome, so something that brings her to mind is great. :)

Well, I'm off to the thrifts, friends! I can't wait to see what crazy things I find!

Thrift Finds: Fun Finds Friday :)

Shoe Bag, Fun Decor: All Goodwill Outlet (~$1)

There were all sorts of fun things in the Goodwill bins this past weekend, including the record bowl from earlier in the week! The finds above were also found in the bins. :)

I love the random shoe bag, mostly because I think bags shaped like other things are hilarious. And how random is carrying around a shoe bag? Man, I'm weird. :)

And the cool decor items are perfect for our funky apartment! I hung the faux vintage blue ball on our balcony, and it looks awesome in the sun. The little colorful animals are a welcome addition to our living room, too! I think they'd look especially cute in a nursery someday. :) (Someday far away!)

I hope your week has been good. Mine's been fine...it has actually gone by pretty fast, which is great! I can't wait for the weekend!

Insta-Thursday #4

Happy Thursday, everyone! This past week was a bit of a doozie...but the weekend was great! Most of these photos are from a Saturday afternoon adventure to Cary Street. :) We went to Play n Trade (a vintage video game store), a couple vintage stores, a record store, and a sub shop for lunch. It was a great afternoon, despite the near-crippling heat!

Also, I had to throw in a Moxie kitty photo- look how much she looks like the Cats record! Too funny. :)

I hope you're having a great week! For more fun photos, follow me at aisalreadyloved on Instagram. Let me know your Instagram info, too- I'd love to follow you!

Outfitted In: Shells and Blue

Shirt, Jeans, Sandals, Bag, Shell Necklaces: All Thrifted

This was the perfect outfit for a laid-back Sunday with my hubby. :) Seriously, I think Sundays are my favorite! We get the whole day together to hang out, visit estate sales, and enjoy each other's company.

Okay, enough mushiness for now. I love my husband, what can I say? :)

Anyway...For the recent heat, this has been my go-to hairstyle- what my mom lovingly refers to as a 'doo-doo knot'. I've been doing my hair this way since high school, but apparently, it's come into style! I saw a girl with my exact doo-doo knot in last month's Seventeen magazine. :)

Well, it's Wednesday! Only a couple more days until it's another weekend full of relaxation!
