Nine West Vintage America Collection Bag: Goodwill Outlet ($2)

I was super excited to see this nice leather bag in the Goodwill bins this past Saturday! When I checked the brand and saw it was Nine West Vintage American Collection, my smile grew a little wider. :)

I remember seeing ads for these bags when they first came out, and I knew they were originally in the $80-$200 price range. (Aka: out of my thrifty price range!)

Anyway, two bucks later, I had my own perfect buttery leather bag! It is super roomy, but not too heavy, and I love the vintage look. :) Where else but the thrifts can you get such a lovely bag for a couple bucks?

Thrift Find: Sleepy Kitty

Kitty Candle Holder: Love of Jesus ($0.50)

I keep finding these sleeping cat candle holders at every thrift store I go to! Usually, they are clear glass and $5 or more, so I leave them on the shelf and move on.

But when I saw this adorable green glass one (for fifty cents!!) I had to bring it home with me!

There are not too many things cuter in the world than a little kitty curled up, asleep. :) (And this is from a girl who was scared to death of cats a mere year and a half ago!)

Do you ever wait to find an even better deal at the thrifts?

Outfitted In: Florals and Denim

Shirt, Jeans, Bag, Pin: All Thrifted; Shoes: eBay

I'm loving this newly thrifted floral shirt! The print is so interesting, and I love the colors! With a comfy pair of jeans and my eBay'd Stubbs and Wooten flats, I felt just the right amount of put-together for a day of thrifting. :)

Speaking of which, we found some really neat things yesterday! I'm talking awesome leather tap shoes, a new pair of Nike tennis shoes, cool records, a leather bag, and a longboard skateboard!

I love bangles, Bakelite, and the color green. So these vintage bangles are right up my alley! Granted, only the center one is Bakelite, but the others are just as awesome. :)

Thrifted Remix: Jean Vest Love

This jean vest that I "made" by cutting off the sleeves of a thrifted shirt has been a hot-weather staple! It makes any outfit more laid-back and summery. :)

I'm a big fan of layering, and this is one easy way to make clothes more interesting without adding tons of heat!

Thrift Find: A Vintage Seagull

Vintage Seagull: Diversity Thrift ($2)

I think I've talked about my relationship with seagulls on the blog before, but basically (even though most Floridians think of them as flying rats) I like them because they remind me of home. :)

This one in particular is neat, because it has a little hook on the front- with a rubber band, you can launch it through the air! Plus, it was made in West Germany, which also ups its cool factor. :)
