Thrift Finds: Teen Vogues

Teen Vogues: Family Thrift ($1 for all)

Looking through these 2003-2006 Teen Vogue issues has brought me back to my high school and college days. I remember reading some of these issues, and it's crazy how much I've changed since then! (Not to mention how much the cover stars have changed!)

I honestly like Teen Vogue, though. I did back then, and I still do! Not only are there interesting articles, but I can mostly afford the fashion they portray. I love magazines such as Lucky and Marie Claire, but $2000 for a shirt? Never gonna happen, folks.

Although I am, I think, an old soul, I guess I'm also partly a teenage girl on the inside. :) My love of sparkles, hearts, lip gloss, exclamation points and Baby-sitters Club books puts me right in the 13-year-old girl range. And that's just fine by me!

Thrift Find: Lips!

Makeup Case: Family Thrift ($0.75)

I spotted this quirky lip-shaped makeup bag in a metal bin at Family Thrift, and I knew I had to get it! The best part? It was just seventy-five cents! I'm pretty excited about it. :)

I had a couple other finds this past weekend, but not much. I want to check out new-to-me thrift stores, but I feel like I've been to all of the ones around Richmond. Hmmm. Any suggestions?

Outfitted In: Stripes + Mustard + Wonder Woman!

Vest, Jeans, Bag, Necklace: All Thrifted; Shoes, Shirt: Target 

This is not what I wore yesterday. I, sort of embarrassingly, accidentally wore the exact same thing I wore two weeks ago. Down to the shoes and necklace. And I didn't realize it until after I got home and looked at my outfit pictures. (That's the sort of embarrassing part!)

Anyway, instead of showing you the same striped shirt with striped overshirt, green jeans, and leather medicine pouch necklace, I found this outfit that I never shared from back in July.

We have this interesting comic place/ used bookstore near us called Stories, and I've been there looking for Baby-sitter's Club books numerous times. This specific time was the only trip there that I found some! 

I think the hairdo is sort of inspired by the BSC, with Claudia's funky, early 90s side-ponytails...

Thrifted Vintage: Cozy Cups!

Vintage Cozy Cups: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

I love the groovy colors of these vintage cozy cup holders! How cool to be able to put a hot or cold solo cup in the dainty little holder? Much more fun than a plain disposable cup, for sure.

Well, that's pretty much all I have to say...it's Friday! I'm counting down the minutes to the weekend!!!

Insta-Thursday #12

Well, it's already Thursday, folks! Thank goodness for short weeks. :) This past week was pretty busy, but some of the things it included were: school desks outside of Love of Jesus, a MicroMachines RV, the prettiest flower blanket, a hardcover BSC book, a new antique store with pop culture stuff, and a Wednesday-night Goodwill expedition, where I spotted a bouquet of shell-flowers!

Only two more days until the weekend, when I'll hopefully find more BSC books, check out some thrift stores, and sleep in. :)
