Minnetonka Mocs: Goodwill Outlet ($2)

I love Minnetonka Moccasins! They are comfy, cute and awesome, but I definitely can't afford to splurge on new pairs often. So when I find some great ones in my size at the thrifts for two bucks, I get pretty excited!

These are unusual ones, too, because they have fringe all the way around. :) I've already sported them while running errands, and I'm in love!

Thrift Finds: Lacoste Ombre Shoes :)

Lacoste Shoes: Love of Jesus ($3)

I was pretty stoked to find these awesome Lacoste shoes for three bucks. :) I love the black and pink, and I've also been looking for them for years!

In college, I used to thrift with my friend Lindsey, and she scored a white pair of these at our local Goodwill. They didn't quite fit me, and I always wanted a pair. And bam! Eight years later, there they were, in my size, at Love of Jesus thrift in Richmond. Sometimes, thrifting is magic. :)

Thrift Finds: Glitter Toms!

Glitter Toms: Goodwill Outlet ($3)

Glitter Toms have been something I've searched for at the thrifts for ages. I finally gave up looking...and bam! There they were in the Goodwill bin! Don't you love when that happens?

I'm definitely not opposed to buying new Toms, especially because they have a great, giving-back business model, but I can't really afford full-price ones. Anyway, that's why I'm super glad to have found these for three bucks. Because the person who first bought them provided shoes for child in need, and when I bought these from Goodwill, it helped people looking for jobs. Win-win-win. :)

Thrift Finds: Purple. Velvet. Flats. + Minnetonkas!

Awesome Purple Flats; Comfy Minnetonkas: Goodwill Outlet ($3 each pair)

So these are the awesome shoes I scored at Goodwill Outlet Saturday! How awesome are these velvet purple flats!!?? Very out there, but I really love them!

And I can never pass up a nice pair of Minnetonkas in my size at the thrifts, so these brown ones came home with me for three bucks. :) I just need a black pair, and I'll be set!

Well, I hope everyone's week is going well so far. I'm getting off early today, so I plan on going to the post office to mail out my passport renewal and my dad's (a little late) birthday present. :)

Thrift Finds: Cool Kicks

Pastry Sneakers: Love of Jesus ($2)

Let me start this post by saying that no, I do not think I'm cool enough to pull these off. However, that's not going to stop me from giving it a go! :)

I've been seeing loads of high-tops on the blogs I read, from The Man Repeller to Fieldguided, and I thought (for two bucks) I'd give it a try.

I'm not sure how these other bloggers manage to wear high-tops and still look awesome, 'cause on my first attempt I looked, at best, ridiculous. I will find a way to look cool in these, though. Stay tuned!

Thrift Finds: Simple Shoes

Simple Shoes: Family Thrift ($2)

I've been looking for a new pair of tennis shoes for awhile, and these cute Simple shoes fit the bill perfectly. :) I love the color, (although it is a little Pepto-like...) and they are super comfy!

Shoes like these are one reason I am a fan of thrift shopping. I was looking for some new sneakers, and there they were for two bucks. :) So much better than paying retail!

Thrift Finds: Dressed-Down Wingtips

Oxfords: Family Thrift ($5)

Most wingtip oxfords are sort of fancy. They're usually a serious color and material, and that's cool. But sometimes life calls for a comfy tennis shoe alternative, you know?

At Family Thrift, the shoes are a little more expensive than the other thrifts nearby, so I usually skip their shoe section. Luckily, a couple weekends ago, I took a peek to see if there was anything good, and found these! They're brand new and my size. :) I love them!

Thrift Find: Green Converse

Converse: Goodwill Outlet ($2.50)

I was super excited to find these Converse All-Stars...especially in green and in my size.

Me and Converse go way back, about 10 years, actually! When I was 15, there was nothing I wanted more for Christmas than some All-Stars. I saw them as something that made you cool and fun, and I wore my black ones all the time back then.

I think these green ones are even cooler! And when you can get some awesome shoes for less than three bucks, I think that makes them even more awesome. Don't you agree?

Thrift Finds: Black Patent Leather

Flats, Goodwill Outlet ($2.50)

These shiny black flats are a recent Goodwill Outlet find. The good: they were brand new and less than three bucks! The bad: they still need to be broken in a bit.

Nevertheless, they are cute! Any ideas for softening patent shoes so they don't rub?

Thrift Finds: Leopard Print Flats!

Leopard Print Flats, Goodwill ($4)

Ever since my thrifted leopard print loafers bit the dust in May, I've been on the lookout for a replacement pair. The problem is that I hate to pay more than a couple bucks on a pair of shoes. (I know, I'm really spoiled by my inexpensively awesome thrift stores!)

Well, my local Goodwill came to the rescue this past Saturday! I spotted these flats from across the store, and I didn't expect them to be in my size. But they fit perfectly, and I've already gotten some wear out of them. :)

Thrift Finds: Toms Wonderful

Toms, Goodwill Outlet ($2.50)

I've been wanting a new pair of Toms for awhile (specifically the silver or gold ones!), so when I spotted these in the Goodwill bins, I grabbed them. Happily, they are my size!

When I got home, I gave them a thorough washing, and they're good as new. :) I have plenty of blue and green in my wardrobe, so I can see these getting lots of wear this Fall.

These are the only things I thrifted on Saturday, but the hubby and I hit up an awesome estate sale yesterday that yielded fun vintage finds. :)

Thrift Finds: Red Leather Shoe Perfection!

Made in Spain Leather Flats , Goodwill Outlet ($2)

I've thrifted quite a lot of shoes from Goodwill Outlet, but I think these are actually my favorites! They are in like-new condition, they sport butterflies that are in no way reminiscent of Mariah Carey, and they are super comfortable. :) What more can one really ask of a shoe?

Besides, I think that pretty much any outfit benefits from a touch of red. And these flats are definitely the perfect touch! :)
