Estate Sale Treasure: A Glass Unicorn :)

Glass Unicorn: Estate Sale ($2.50)

We went to a really cool estate sale last Sunday, full of awesome mid-century stuff and great old books! Although I wanted lots of things from the sale (particularly a vintage mustard yellow couch!), I held back and just got this unicorn.

It's a really cool unicorn, though! The way the glass looks in the sun reminds me of a hot-weather-friendly ice sculpture. :)

Well, I'm off to the thrifts this morning, mostly to do some #thriftspotting, but also to hunt for a couple little things!

This was Sunday's outfit, for a relaxing day of estate sale hunting, record player finding, and cleaning. :) It was fun just hanging out with my awesome hubby and enjoying the day with him.
Also, did I mention how much I love my Brahmin bag? 'Cause it's amazing! I decided to downsize my bag collection, and this is my new 'wear with everything' bag, instead of switching out so much. :) And it was on super-clearance! (It is, admittedly, pretty bright!)

I've been wearing the heck out of my Saltwater Sandals, too. I'm glad I finally broke down and got some off of Amazon, because I still haven't seen any at the thrifts! After we move back to Florida, I'll definitely be investing in a couple more pairs of them. :)

Thrift Finds: A Bucket of Gold! Sort of.

Handmade Gold Basket: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

So my only other thrift find from Saturday was this golden basket. It's hand-woven, probably by someone who decided upon finishing it that it was perhaps too gold...

But hey, it's not too gold for me! I love it! It's currently corralling mail on my coffee table and looking awesome. :)

Thrifted Vintage: Jadeite!

Vintage Jadeite Containers: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

I was super excited to spot 1930s Jadeite in the Goodwill bins this past weekend!! These little jars are missing their lids, but are otherwise in great shape. And did I mention that for both of them AND my other Goodwill Outlet find, I spent less than a dollar?! Awesome.

I've seen pretty Jadeite pieces at antique shops for crazy amounts, but these are the first ones I've ever seen in a thrift store. :) I think once we move to Florida, more Jadeite pieces will make it on my thrift list!

This was yesterday's outfit, for an afternoon of thrifting, church, and dinner with the in-laws. :) It was a good, but long, day.

I'm ready to spend today relaxing, organizing, cleaning, and sorting out more things for our garage sale we're having at my in-laws' in October. :) It feels good to get rid of some things!

#Thriftspotting in Florida :)

Here are some of the cool things I spotted while I thrifted with my dad in Florida. :) I saw all sorts of cool things! I can't wait to decorate when we move into our own place down there! It will be so fun!

Thrift Find: A Button Necklace!

Button Necklace: Goodwill ($4.99)

The regular Goodwill near my parent's house in Florida is big, but overpriced. There are lots of brand-new, boring items all over. Basically, it's not my favorite thrift store location.

So, even though this awesome vintage button necklace was more than I'd usually pay at a thrift store, I was surprised to find it there in the first place! I splurged, and it ended up being my only thrift score from my short trip.

I did spot some other cool things, though, so there will be plenty of #thriftspotting photos tomorrow!

I'm Back!

Well, I'm back in Richmond after my short Florida trip! I had a great time, and I was able to get some stuff done for when we move in a couple months. :)

Plus, I got to hang out with this silly dog! :) He's my parents' dog Jake, and he's so fun!

My dad and I went to some thrifts on Saturday, so I have some #thriftspotting and even a thrifted find!

I had some great #thriftspotting this past week! I saw lots of fun mid-century stuff, which I totally would have gotten if we weren't moving in a couple months. :) I hope I can find some great vintage furniture down in Florida! I have high hopes. :)
