Antique Shop Spotting! :)
There's this cool little antique mall down the road that is so neat! It's called Somewhere in Time and features probably 15 or so little booths. :)
Above are my favorite things I spotted. The best part? Most everything pictured above was less than $30! Pretty good for an antique shop!
My favorite thing in the place was the grey marble skull in the bottom picture. I really wanted to get it, but I just couldn't justify the $18 price for such a little item. Although, maybe I'll go back...
Anyway, we're off to Pensacola for Christmas with family this evening, and I can't wait! It'll be great to hang out with family and have a nice holiday. :) Plus, the thrift stores there are great, and I'm sure my Grammy will go with me!! See you next week, folks!

Thrift Find: A Little Kitty Wallet/Purse :)
Kitty Wallet/Purse: Lighthouse Thrift ($1) |
The best thing is that the straps are removable, so when I am using a regular purse, I can detach the strap and use it as a wallet. Then, I can snap the strap back on to bring thrifting or to the gym! Win, win!
I hope everyone's week is going well so far. :) I can't wait for the Thanksgiving holiday!!!

#Thriftspotting
Last week, we did a second #thriftspotting outing, this time to our local Goodwill! :) We saw some interesting things, for sure!
I actually really liked the unicorns and HUGE Pegasus, but I just couldn't find a reason to bring them home with me. (Probably my dad would think I was nuts!)
The funniest thing we spotted was the dog & cat drinking bowl, shaped like a toilet! They actually had multiples of them, and I briefly considered getting one as a gag gift, but I knew it would probably have ended up right back at Goodwill!
Well, I hope everyone is having a great Monday so far. :)

Thrift Find: A Pretty Handmade Bowl :)
Handmade Bowl: Salvation Army ($1) |
When we went #thriftspotting the other day at Salvation Army, I realized a cute little bowl to hold our keys on our dresser would be perfect. So I went on the hunt for something cheap, cute, and the right size. :)
This little bowl, at a buck, fit the bill! It's the perfect size to hold mine and Josh's keys, and it looks good on the dresser!
Well folks, I'm off to Orlando for the day to hang out with my awesome aunt, uncle, and baby cousin! :) Have a great day!

Amanda

#Thriftspotting
Here's my first Florida #thriftspotting post! We went to the local Salvation Army store the other day, and we spotted some really cool things! :)
I really liked the white kitty, but it was huge and didn't have a price on it, so I passed. One day, I will have a giant kitty figurine, though! Probably when we have our own house. ;)
Another favorite was the retro blue lamp; the vase-like shape of it was really neat. Of course I liked the wooden mushrooms, because mushroom things are awesome!
I had to take a picture of the owl and the whales because they remind me of a friend in Virginia. She's on Instagram, so when I see her favorite animals while I'm out thrifting, I post them. :)
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Friday! I'm off to fill out some more job applications and help my mom with her volunteer project. :)

Insta-Thursday: Florida so Far :)
We have loved Florida so far! We spent last Saturday night making the kitty feel comfortable in her new home, Sunday unpacking and then eating Olive Garden with Josh's family and my parents, Monday morning doing typical Tampa things with Josh's parents before they had to fly back to Virginia, and Tuesday helping my mom with her volunteer projects and having Sushi Tuesday!
Yesterday, I did more projects for my mom while she was at work, and we've also been rocking the racquetball court! :)
I hope everyone is having a great week!

Amanda

Our Move :)
Well folks, we made it to Florida! We're all unpacked and settled in, and I figured it was past time for a blog post!
We cleaned out and fully packed up our apartment last Friday morning, and then headed to my in-law's house. We set off from there around 5:30 Saturday morning, while it was still pitch dark outside!
Once the sun came out, it was very foggy. Josh drove my car with me as the passenger, and Josh's dad drove the moving van pulling Josh's car with his mom as the passenger. Once the fog cleared and we passed into North Carolina, Josh and I switched.
He took a couple of Instagram photos for me while I was driving, like the South of the Border photo as we crossed from North Carolina to South Carolina. :) We stopped for lunch in Santee, SC, at a Wendy's. Because we had Moxie with us, we got our food and then set out a blanket in the shade with her in her carrier next to us. Being an indoor cat, I don't think she knew what to make of the whole situation!
I continued driving as we passed into Georgia, but at our next gas station break, Josh took over. He drove the rest of the way through Georgia and through Florida. Of course, we had to stop at the Florida Welcome Center and take a photo with the huge sign!
From there, we had about four more hours until we made it to our destination. It got dark a little after 5:30, and then it started to rain! I was glad that Josh was driving the last bit!
We made it to Brandon around 8:30, after a long day in the car. It went by very fast, though, and my car did great! We didn't run into any traffic at all, which was nothing short of a miracle. :)
I should be back into the swing of things now, so I'll be back tomorrow!

Insta-Thursday!
Hey everyone! I'm just popping in really quick to do an Instagram post! Here's what I've been up to this week- lots of packing, racquetball, saying goodbye to my cousin and my friends, and finally packing up the moving van!
We leave our apartment tomorrow, and then we leave Virginia first thing Saturday morning. Then, we'll be in Florida (hopefully!) that night! :) So I'll be back as a Floridian next week!
Always,
Amanda
