Insta-Thursday

 Hey y'all! It's Insta-Thursday! This week has been full of: hanging out with my kitty, taking down the Christmas decorations, watching my alma mater UCF win their bowl game (!), reading my favorite magazine, heading over bridges to check out new-to-us thrift stores, trying new foods, and enjoying awesome macaroons!

It's been a great week. :)

Outfitted In: Black + Mustard :)

I have been sporting my new Cambridge Satchel and etsy necklace every day. They are that awesome!! :)

It's been a little more chilly here in Florida, so I've been getting use out of my sweaters and sweatshirts. It's so nice to not have freezing temperatures!

I hope everyone's week is going well so far. :) I've been working to get on a better blog schedule again after the holidays, so hopefully I'll get a little more organized!

#Thriftspotting: Salvation Army Brandon :)

The hubby and I headed out for a #thriftspotting adventure at our local Salvation Army last week. I didn't find anything to bring home, but he found a CD he'd been looking for. :)

Above are some of the strange things that I spotted, including a teller action figure! (I used to be a teller, so it was pretty funny to see an action figure of such a non-action thing as a teller!)

Outfitted In: A Happy New Year Outfit!

This was my laid-back New Years outfit, to hang out with some of our great friends. :) It was a great night, with a fire pit, great food, and awesome company.

And, of course, sparklers make everything even better! It's so awesome to be able to get sparklers at the local Target here, because they are my favorite!

Antique Shop Spotting: Sweet Memories Antiques

While Grammy and Grandpa were in town for Christmas, Grammy joined us for a little antique shop spotting. :)

This little shop, called Sweet Memories, is in Brandon, Florida. It has multiple rooms full of great stuff, including lots of records, organized by band name! We had been looking everywhere for a certain record, and we found it right away in Sweet Memories. :)

Some of my other favorite things there are shown above. I especially liked the mid-century tin dollhouse, the tintype photos, and the cups with the die in them! Very cool. :)

Outfitted In: A Sort-of Christmas Sweater :)

This was my outfit on December 22nd, to see a Christmas play with my in-laws. :) I had thrifted this awesome Christmas-printed blouse a couple of days before for $2 and had to wear it!

I thought that I would be the only one who thought it was cute, but people really liked it. :)

I didn't have time to get an outfit shot before the play, so I did a quick one in the bathroom at Josh's cousins' church afterward. I just had to document my thrifty, weird Christmas sweater-ish blouse. :)

Insta-Thursday: A Florida Christmas :)

 We had such a great Christmas! It's so nice to be here in Florida, close to family. :) My brother Andrew was able to come down from Texas, too, which was awesome! He got me a mustard yellow Cambridge Satchel, which has barely left my side since Christmas day. :)

It was also great having my aunt, uncle, and baby cousin here from Orlando! They are so fun, and having a little baby around on Christmas was really sweet. :)

My Grammy and Grandpa also came down from Pensacola, and it was great spending time with them, too! I love the picture of me and Grammy above, and I got a great picture of Grandpa and Andrew, but I forgot to Instagram it!

I hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as I did. :) I feel so blessed!
