On the Thrift Store Shelves: Goodwill Bin Edition!

Shown above are some of the things I spotted in the Goodwill bins this past weekend. :) Although I always find a bunch of things that I think are cool, I leave most of them behind. This way you can see some of the other Goodwill bin goodies!

On a related note, I had a recent anonymous commenter ask me about Goodwill Outlet. You know... whether it was fun or scary, or if it's worth a visit.

Honestly, whether or not it's worth going to depends on the type of thrifter you are. Are you prepared to go through mostly junk to find a couple treasures? Are you capable of either steering clear of the aggressive people or being aggressive yourself? Do you feel scared to look through bins without elbow-length gloves?

I say, if Goodwill Outlet sounds like fun, by all means- go and try it out! I, for one, love it. :) If it sounds scary/awful/not worth the trouble- then skip it. There are plenty of cleaner and more organized places in Richmond you can visit. :) I'll be glad to give you some suggestions, even! Hit me up at Already-Loved (at) hotmail (dot) com.

Thrift Finds: Record Bowl

Record Bowl: Goodwill Outlet (<$1)

It was fun to find this record bowl in the Goodwill bins this past Saturday! I usually spot these at stores like Urban Outfitters for more than twenty bucks, so this was a great deal. :)

It is the perfect silly bowl for holding keys and spare change near the front door of our apartment, too. I'm always on the lookout for useful items with a bit of character!

Outfitted In: 100% Thrifted Finds

Shirt, Vest, Mocs, Bag, Sunnies, Bracelet: All Thrifted

It's been a little while since I've worn a completely thrifted outfit! (Mostly because I wasn't lucky at the thrifts with jeans for a while.) But this outfit from yesterday is all thrifty goodness- both old and new!

This vest is probably one of my favorite recent finds. It has such a unique, 70s vibe to it- like something Penny Lane in Almost Famous might wear. :) (Of course, she would be wearing a crop top or bra underneath, but I like wearing a regular shirt!)

I've fallen in love again with these Minnetonka mocs that I thrifted in Pensacola last year. I can't seem to stop wearing them, despite the triple-digit heat!

PS: Happy birthday to the best brother in the whole entire world :)

Detail Shot Saturday: Peach and Grey

Shirt, Scarf: Thrifted

I love this peach scarf- it's become my 'hot months' scarf because it's so lightweight. :) With a silk shirt, it was the perfect match for a hot-as-heck day!

Speaking of which, it is supposed to be in the 100s again this weekend...so I'm off to the thrifts with my hubby before it gets to the triple digits! So happy for the weekend!!!

Thrift Finds: Metal Basket Madness!

I love metal baskets. There is something about them that reminds me of elementary school. :) That and blackboards and those desks with the shelf underneath for your books...

Josh and I recently cleaned/organized/purged our apartment, and these are perfect for organization! Currently, they are holding gifts for upcoming birthdays. :)

Insta-Thursday #3

This week was filled with Goodwill hunting, estate sale finds, Fleetwood Mac, our favorite restaurant, peanut donuts, kitties, and organizing our apartment! Whew!

I have two more days left in my workweek, and then it's the weekend! It was nice to have yesterday off, but I wish I could've taken the rest of the week, too. :)

Outfitted In: Ladybugs + Hearts

Shirt, Vest, Jeans, Bag, Heart Hair Clip: All Thrifted; Heart Pin: DIY; Sandals: Target

This is an outfit from last week that I nearly forgot about! I had to share it because I loved the mix of little ladybugs on the shirt and the heart hair clip and pin. :)

Plus, it is a red, white, and blue outfit- very holiday appropriate!

I'm excited for a mid-week day off to relax, eat BBQ, and maybe get a little thrifting in. :) Maybe all weeks should come with a Wednesday holiday!
